Within Engineering Architecture, we support global engineering departments in digitalising their processes and delivering IT solutions that drive measurable business success. You will join an international team with an open and collaborative culture. While you will be based in our Berlin office, you will work closely across sites and borders. Together, we provide colleagues with modern tools and enablement—and we truly value teamwork.
 

As a Product Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for product configuration and modelling rule sets within the Industries Segment. This currently includes the two product lines “Medium and Small Compressors” and “Integrally Geared Compressors”, and forms a key part of a project supporting the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS/CCUS) order-to-quote process.

 

You will:

  • Translate business and engineering requirements into robust configuration models and rule sets
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritise requirements, and maintain the development backlog
  • Plan, test, and oversee end-user releases within the ongoing release cycle
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand product features, modularisation, and variant logic
  • Engage in continuous dialogue with sales users to capture future needs and expectations for the CCUS application
  • Combine hands-on detail work on specific rule sets with a strategic view of upcoming functionalities
 

 

You can help us with these qualifications

 

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience in modularisation, configuration methods, and variant management
  • Strong skills in requirements analysis, prioritisation, and release management
  • Enjoy working at the interface between engineering, sales, and IT, and thrive in an international environment
  • Excellent German and English skills
  • Hands-on experience with rule or configurator technologies (e.g., rule engines, CPQ/product configurators)
  • Background in turbomachinery-related products or process industries
