We can offer you the following tasks

You support our motivated team of data scientists in enabling the monitoring and optimization of our engine operations through algorithmic analysis of machine sensor data. As a team member in Group Digital, you contribute to the improvement and expansion of our digital portfolio, thereby supporting the decarbonization of shipping. Working in our international, interdisciplinary, and agile team offers you a high degree of flexibility, especially with regard to mobile working.

Your main tasks in Python software development include:

• Revising existing algorithms (e.g., adapting to new infrastructure, updating packages)
• Supporting the development of new algorithms (e.g., data preparation, implementation in Python, deployment)
• Data exploration and analysis

The tools used daily include GitLab, PyCharm, Jira, Confluence, AWS (e.g., SageMaker Notebooks), and Neo4j. While prior experience with these technologies is beneficial, it is not required, as your colleagues will gladly support you during onboarding. Grow in a collaborative environment and promote diversity and inclusion!

You can help us with these qualifications

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable degree programmes
• Programming experience in Python
• Affinity for data
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. It is an advantage if you can also speak and write German
• Independent and autonomous way of working
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of statistics and machine learning advantageous
