What you should know about us

Everllence enables its customers to achieve sustainable value creation in the transition towards a carbon neutral future. Addressing tomorrow’s challenges within the marine, energy and industrial sectors, we improve efficiency and performance at a systemic level. Leading the way in advanced engineering for more than 250 years, we provide a unique portfolio of technologies. Headquartered in Germany, Everllence employs some 15,000 people at over 120 sites globally. Our after-sales brand, Everllence PrimeServ, offers a vast network of service centres to our customers all over the world.

We can offer you the following tasks

Bladed disks (blisks) in axial turbines are subject to complex aeroelastic interactions. Intentional mistuning can be used to reduce vibration amplitudes and increase component lifetime, requiring a solid understanding of aerodynamic excitation and damping mechanisms.

Within the scope of this master’s thesis, the following topics will be addressed:

  • Analysis of aerodynamic excitation based on CFD simulations
  • Investigation of the influence of operating conditions and geometric variations
  • Development of efficient modeling approaches for aerodynamic excitation and damping
  • Optional: Application of data-driven methods (ML) to support model development

The thesis offers the opportunity to work on current challenges in industrial turbomachinery research and to combine state-of-the-art CFD, aeroelastic and data-driven methods.

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Experience with CFD simulations required, preferably using NUMECA FineTurbo and/or ANSYS CFX
  • Basic knowledge of turbomachinery is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of Python and interest in machine learning are an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in interdisciplinary topics

Our benefits for you

Canteen, meal allowance, accessibility, workplace health management, company doctor, gym, parking, good transport links, employee discounts, student network, women’s network

Your professional home

Everllence headquarters in Augsburg were once the setting for the invention of the diesel engine, with which Rudolf Diesel declared war on the steam engine. Today, our primary mission is to overcome the challenges faced by the marine, energy and industrial sectors – not only to ensure our customers’ success, but also to preserve our environment. From small increases in the efficiency of individual components, such as dual-fuel engines, exhaust gas treatment systems or software solutions, to major innovations at system level – every day, around 5,000 employees work at our site in the beautiful renaissance city of Augsburg to create a better future. You too can help us do that. We are the employer for you if you want to make a difference.

That is important to us

Integrity and Compliance are essential elements of our corporate culture. We firmly support diversity and equal opportunities and are therefore looking forward to receiving a diverse range of applications. Just click on “Apply now” and start your career with us.
